She is survived by: her daughter Nickie Pates (Hosea) of Arcadia, LA; her sisters, Maxine Prejean of Arcadia, LA and Magdaline Cortez of Plano, TX; her brother-in-law Duncan Prejean; her grandchildren, Nikal Cortez, Ni'Coria Pates and Cor (Zayvious Pates); her aunts, Willie Mae Cato of Florida and Tommie Lou Rhodes of Houston, Texas; her uncle Bishop Cleophus Pearson of Dallas, TX; and her nephew House of Raeford.
