With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Alton of Arcadia, Louisiana, born in Bienville, Louisiana, who passed away on August 26, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Alton and Leona Langley Alton; his wife Billie Jo Alton; and his brother Bo Alton. He is survived by: his children, Mike Alton (Pam), Denise Cobb (Glen) and Shane Alton (Bonnie); his grandchildren, Beth Senn, Josh Alton, Hannah Browning (Tyler), Jacob Alton (Kendell) and Kelsie Cobb (Kevin Hall); his sisters, Odessa Barnett and Sissy Pyles; and his great grandchildren, Rose Senn, Westen Alton, Holden Browning, Michael Hall and Brody Hall. He is also survived by numerous other nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.
