He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny Hunter and Helen Hardy; his brothers, Aaron Hunter, John Wayne Hunter and Michael Hunter; and his son Lee Edwin Hunter.
He is survived by: his wife Fredia Mae Hunter; his children, Jerry Hunter, Francis Hunter, Sandra Hunter Allen and Tina Maxwell (Mitch); his siblings, Richard Hunter, Percy Hardy, Mark Hardy and Gail Hunter; his grandchildren, Paul Hunter, Clint Allen, Josh Springfield, Hunter Springfield, Clayton Allen and Zane Maxwell; and his great grandchildren, Coltan Allen, Caleb Allen, Mary Jane Springfield and Ricky Springfield. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces, and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Owens Memorial Chapel (2300 W California Ave, Ruston, LA 71270). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
