He is survived by: his wife Brenda; his daughters, Joy Samford (Royce), Melissa Carter, Eddie and Brenda Rooks (Rodney); his siblings, Calvin (Vicki), Clarence Goodnight, Margie McLaughlin, Zelda (Steve Glasgow) and Lorene (Ron McGill); his grandchildren, Taylor Hoey (Kyle), Tristan Christlieb, Hunter Rooks (Jacie), Alexus Williams, Garrett Williams and Kaytlin Christlieb; his great grandchildren, Holden Hoey and Walker Rooks; and his goddaughter Pennie Tomlin.
