He is survived by: his wife Suzanne "Suzy" Bourgeois Gilbert; his children, Thomas E. Gilbert, Jr., Kevin T. Gilbert and Dr. Tammy Gilbert; his sister Rose Gilbert Bienvenu; and his grandchildren, Blaine Thomas Gilbert and Cassidy Elaine Gilbert.
