It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Edwin Gunn of Arabi, Louisiana, born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on January 31, 2024, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Joseph Gunn, Jr. and Mary Louise Perez Gunn; his grandparents, Edwin Joseph Gunn, Sr., Veronica Edna Junker Gunn, Rudolph C. Perez and Eva Avila Perez; his brother Ralph Joseph Gunn, Sr.; and his nephew Andrew Joseph Gunn.

He is survived by: his niece Shannon Gunn Helffrich (John); his nephews, Michael Abbott Johnson, Jr. and R. J. Gunn, Jr.; his great-nephew Evan Andrew Helffrich; his siblings, Veronica Gunn Johnson (Michael) and Daniel Morris Gunn; and his sister-in-law Diann Abadie Gunn. He is also survived by many cousins, relatives, and dear friends.
