We are sad to announce that on October 6, 2019, at the age of 90, Leonard John Slowiak (Arabi, Louisiana), born in Detroit, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Slowiak and Sophia Klosek Slowiak; and his children, Patricia "Patty" Slowiak Rutherford (Lewis) and John Leonard Slowiak. He is survived by: his wife Raquel "Susie" Ventura Slowiak; his daughter Monica Slowiak Beem (James); his brother-in-law Cecil Ventura; and his stepchildren, Albert Ventura, Patricia "Trisha" H. McClure and Terri Mendez. He is also survived by three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, ten step-grandchildren, ten step-great-grandchildren, and many friends.
