He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Britton Sr. and Bertha Gibson Britton. He is survived by: his children, Melvin Louis Britton Jr., Shanta Britton Henry (Torry Sr.) and Travis Damon Britton; and his siblings, Bernice Black and Oliver Britton. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
