We are sad to announce that on August 18, 2020, at the age of 82, Benjamin Thomas MacKey Sr. of Angola, Louisiana, born in New Orleans, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Mackey and Arie Mackey; his daughter Betty Harris; his siblings, John Douglas Mackey Jr., Wilhelmenia Mackey-Brickley, Dolores Mackey-Killingsworth and Joyce Mackey; his children, Janell Moore (Vivian), Benjamin Thomas Mackey Jr. (Tanika), LaCher Watson (Karl) and Louis Marshall (Kathryn); his sisters, Dorothy Mackey-Prevost, Cheryl Cook, Debra Jones (David), Brenda Davis (Clifford), Linda (Herman) of Washington, Donna Ford, Antionette Melancon (Anthony Sr.), JoAnn Mackie-Fortner (John), Wanda Mackie-Harvey (Walter), Gelata Mackie-Laundry (Bruce Sr.), Angel Mackie (Tj) and Sherril Mackie; his grandchildren, Vantrell Leslie, Gavin Moore, Khyrin Ducre, Benjamin Mackey III, Kae, Kha, Michael Marshall, Marche Walter, Karleigh Watson, Sherrie Harris, Randy Harris, Cornell Harris, Haven Richardson, Aaliyah Bell and Akia Morgan; and his goddaughters, Kay Brickley-Jackson and Kim Brickley. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Due to Covid-19 all those in attendance are required to wear a face mask and to practice social distancing.
