He was predeceased by: his parents, Ludd Self and Yowama Self; his wife Janice Self; his son Mark Self; and his siblings, Mose Self and Ida Lyles.
He is survived by: his children, Max Anthony Self (Charlotte) of Texas, Richard Self of Rosepine, Stephen Self (Lois) of Leesville, David Self of Rosepine, Sarah Poole of Anacoco, Yolanda Swindler (James) of Kentucky, Brenda Martinez (Mark) of Anacoco, Elizabeth Behan (Roy) of Hornbeck and Rebekah Nelson (Tony) of Anacoco; and his siblings, Mann Self of Anacoco, Marty Self of Texas, Ludd Self of Anacoco, Kelly Boneau of Anacoco and Zoe Whitt of Anacoco. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
