He was predeceased by: his wife Rose Ruiz; his son Robin Sims; and his parents, Florencio Ruiz and Ramona Andino Ruiz. He is survived by: his children, James "Timmy" Sims of Virginia, Eva Marie Nichols (Charles) of Louisiana, Donna Lund (Jerry) of Davenport, IA, Lindsey Melihercsik of Apopka, FL, Kathy Hill of Leesville, LA and Jamie Becker (Carl) of Silver City, TX. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and friends.
