He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Hoyt Thompson; his sister Ramona Powers; his nieces and nephews, Charel Kennedy, Ramona "Baby" Elam, Megan Wagner, Sarah Savoy, Carmen Elam, Billy Cox, Chris Peairs and Hill Savoy; his parents, Walter Thompson and Rita Phillips Thompson; his sister Delores Thompson Cox; his brothers-in-law, Frank Powers and Glenn Cox; his nephew Peavy Powers; his father-in-law Charles Hoyt; his siblings-in-law, Gene Cox and Betty Hoyt Cox; and his grandson Blaine Milton. He is also survived by numerous other nephews and nieces.
