He was predeceased by: his parents, Isaac H. Bennett and Annie Blount Bennett; his siblings, Catherine Irene Bennett, Ruby Bennett Martinez, Leslie Eugene Bennett, Isaac "Bill" Bennett and Ivey Alphonse Bennett; his son Robert Vincent Dewitt Bennett; and his grandson Timothy Warden.
He is survived by: his children, Tammy Bennett Albers, Cindy Bennett Grice (Joey), Brenda Dutton (Doug) and Jason Brown (Debra); the mother of his children Rita Bennett Erembert; his grandchildren, Sarah Lebo, Joshua Maggio (Mallory), Katelyn Maggio, Jolee Grice, Rebecca Brown, Levi Brown, Richard Ballard, Daniel Ballard, Brandon Warden, Haley Warden, Heidi Warden and Garrett Dutton; his great grandchildren, Chloe Warren, Zoe Warren and Carter Maggio; and his siblings, Joyce Marie Forrest, Lettie Ann Goforth, Mary Lou Hill (Wayne), Charles Bennett and Larry Bennett. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the McKneely Funeral Home (110 E Factory St, Amite City, LA 70422). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
