He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Bennett and Maggie Bennett; and his siblings, Thomas H. Bennett, Elaine Shar and Alice Fay LeSage.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Winborn Bennett; his children, Todd Bennett (Reesie) and Karen Wald (Anton); his sister Charlene Averett; and his sister-in-law Virginia Bennett. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers a memorial donation can be made to Wilmer Missionary Baptist Church Building Fund.
