It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sheila Travis DeArmond of Amite, Louisiana, who passed away on January 24, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Susie Force Travis and Theodore "Ted" Travis; her husband Earl DeArmond; her children, Kathleen Davis and Teddy George Faust; her grandchildren, Christina Aymond and Christopher Faust; and her siblings, Minnie Lou Hutchinson, Bessie Walker, Elise Daniels, Monroe Travis, Robert Travis and Frank Travis.
She is survived by: her son Edward Charles Faust (JoAnne). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church (600 N Oak St, Hammond, LA 70401). A Mass was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 1:15 PM at the Ponchatoula Cemetery (18392 Wisteria Dr, Ponchatoula, LA 70454).
