He is survived by: his children, Beckie Hendry (Clint) and Russell Edward Thompson, III; his grandchildren, Hallie, Seth Hendry, Russell Edward Thompson, IV, Wyatt Thompson and Barbara Yerby; and his siblings, Linda Cuti (Dominick), Chuck Thompson (Sherrie), Doris Schwartz, Margaret Strahan (Alan) and Mark Thompson (Laura). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
