He was predeceased by: his wife Angeline Prout Jones; his parents, Richard G. Jones and Alexanderine Mackey Jones; his godchild Makia Johnson; his granddaughter Tera Autmon; and his siblings, Clifford, Alvin, Earl, Albert Jones, Maize Duncan, Mary Brickley, Lavinia Franklin, Irma Powell and Catherine Brown.
He is survived by: his children, Vera Manuel (late Jerry), Gerald Jones, Sr. (Gail), Ellery Jones, Wilbur Jones (Benittlia) and Averil Turner (Norman, Sr.); his sister Lois Tate; and his sisters-in-law, Elaine Prout, Elsie Nelson and Bernice Jones. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
