She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Hatfield and Jesse Hatfield; her daughter Rebekah Bassemier; and her sister Gay Rewis. She is survived by: her husband Mike Bassemier; her children, Dewayne Peters (Sandy), Roger Peters, Robert Peters, Rashael Hawkins, Nicole Bassemier and Megan David; and her brothers, R. L. Hatfield, Ricky Hatfield and Edgar Hatfield. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
