It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Smith of Amite, Louisiana, who passed away on April 13, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Winnie Smith; and his parents, Norman Harvey Smith Sr. and Johnny Mae Smith. He is survived by: his siblings, Annie M. Smith, Norman H. Smith Jr., Donald L. Smith and L. Freddy Smith; his children, Cheryl L. Ferriell, Laura J. Allen, Carla J. Smith, Scott Burleigh, Wayne Burleigh, Bonnie S. Swindle, Marty D. Smith, Adam L. Smith and Joseph L. Smith Jr.; and his siblings, Lewis W. Smith, Norma M. Arnone, Bertie M. Smith, Ronald L. Smith and Johnny E. Smith.
