He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph McCoy and Carrie McCoy; his son-in-law Ronny Smith; and his siblings, Douglas, Bobby McCoy, Evelyn Singleton, Irma Carruth and Helen Robertson.
He is survived by: his wife Henrietta S. McCoy; his children, Beth Jordan (Wayne), Joey McCoy (Sonya) and Caro Smith; his grandchildren, Whittany Starns (Kevin), Evan Jordan (Taylor), Amy Sweat (Rodney), Robyn Smith (Ben), Brooke Roncancio Trey (Edgar), Christian and Gabby Smith; his stepgrandchildren, George Jordan, Chris Jordan and Aimee Stafford; and his great grandchildren, Nolen, Etta Jane, Andi, Grady, Olli Kate, Ryne, Remi, Carson and Myles.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in his memory be made to Kedron Baptist Church.
