It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Herndon Tycer of Amite, Louisiana, born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, who passed away on March 27, 2024, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Tycer and Elva Mae Tycer. He is survived by: his wife Billie Claire Dykes Tycer; his daughters, Jamie Covington (Todd) and Jessica Rutledge (Zach); his grandchildren, Hannah Covington, Porter Rutledge and Jesse Rutledge; and his brothers, Arthur Ray Tycer and Lindsay Tycer (Donna).
