It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hugh L Etienne (Amite, Louisiana), born in Donaldsonville, Louisiana, who passed away on April 20, 2020, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert, Sr. Etienne and Helen Harris Etienne; his brothers, Clifton, Herman, Harold and Harrison Etienne; and his stepson William Davis, III.
He is survived by: his wife Clara Davis Etienne; his siblings, Henriettta Brown (Leonard), Hilda M. Joseph (Robert), Harriet M. Etienne and Herbert Etienne, Jr. (Catherine); his niece Alicia Mitchell; his goddaughter Tiffany Robinson; his stepchildren, Edmond Coleman, Ann Davis, Angela Cox (Steve), Joyce Davis Pittman (Alvin) and Shelia Brown (James); and his sisters-in-law, Alice Curtis, Eliska Cox (Mack) and Alma Lee Curtis. He is also survived by nephews, other relatives and friends, 29 grandchildren.
