It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dennis Roy Walker of Amite, Louisiana, born in Denham Springs, Louisiana, who passed away on January 15, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his significant other Julie Cortez Walker; his parents, Roy Walker and Ad Glascock Walker; and his nephews, Stephen Cowan and Larry Lemons, Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Kara Faller (Andrew), Kacie and Kody (Jenny); his grandchildren, James, John Faller and Mattie Joy Walker; his sisters, Marion Carpenter (Joe), Dianne Stilley (Jerry) and Sharon Cowan (Herb); and his siblings-in-law, Joycelyn Lemons, Janet Dufreche and Bobby Cortez (Jessica). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Amite (117 E Olive St, Amite City, LA 70422). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
