She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Hoyt and Margie Hoyt; her sister Betty Hoyt Cox; her brother-in-law Gene Cox; her nephew Peavy Powers; and her parents-in-law, Walter and Rita Thompson.
She is survived by: her husband Walter Thompson III (Buster); her sister-in-law Ramona Powers; her nieces, Charel Kennedy and Ramona "Baby" Elam; her great-nieces, Megan Wagner, Sarah Savoy and Carmen Elam; her nephew Billy Cox; and her great-nephew Chris Peairs. She is also survived by numerous other nephews and nieces.
