He was predeceased by: his parent Emmie Daisy Yates Brumfield; his wife Helen Jeanette Shelton Brumfield; and his brothers, Shelby Brumfield Sr. and Edward Brumfield. He is survived by: his sister Audrey "Audie" Brumfield Gill (Berlin); his children, Janice Brumfield Slaven, Alvon (Amy Brumfield), Vera Fay Brumfield Woodbury and Albert "Albo" (Cissy Brumfield); and his grandchildren, Amanda Woodbury Zucati of Washington State, Roy Slaven of Washington State, Christopher Woodbury of Washington State, John Slaven Sr. of Washington State and Joseph Slaven of Washington State. He is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren.
