He was predeceased by: his parents, Palmer Harrell and Manilla McCoy Harrell of Amite, LA.; his grandparents, Alexander and Emma Mead Harrell; and his siblings, Elbert, Ellis, Joe Harrell, Doris Wheat, Vera Mosby, Thedora Lewis, Helen Brook and Yvonne Harrell.
He is survived by: his children, Arthur Hickerson (Brenda) of New Orleans, LA., Gregory Harrell, Elder Michael Harrell (Denesia), Dennis Harrell (Alessia) and Cheryl Hampton (Frankie) of Spring, TX.; and his sisters, Audrey Dunomes and Bobbie Lois Harrell of Chicago, IL.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
