We bid farewell to Marian Keys Griffin of Ama, Louisiana, born in Donaldsonville, Louisiana, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 7, 2024 at the age of 90. Marian Keys touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jerry Keys and Sarah Keys; her husband Arthur Griffin, Sr.; her children, Farid Keith Lamir, Arthur Griffin, Jr. and Shonda Griffin; her siblings, Esther Lockett, Shirley Herbert, Laura Lewis, Ray Keys, Herbert Keys, Sr. and Henry Keys; her in-laws, Nancy, Lloyd Griffin Sr., Shirley Keys, Evelyn Griffin Pierre, Annie Bell Friloux, Elsie Mae Brown Dyer, Lloyd, Jr., Violet and Floyd Griffin; and her godson Stanley Keys.
She is survived by: her children, Charisse, LaTangie, Iris, Lisa and Brett (Fairell); her sister Laverne Becnel; her siblings-in-law, Rita L. Wright and Irving Pierre, Sr.; her godchildren, Damon Smith, Dawan Landry and Terrance Taylor; and also Betty Murray. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mount Zion Baptist Church (10867 River Rd, Ama, LA 70031). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
