He was predeceased by: his former wives, Myrtle Lynd and Lavina Lynd; his parents, William Lynd and Hilda Johnson Lynd; and his siblings, Raymond Lynd, Alden Lynd, Delmar Lynd, Neva Butcher and Twila Clark.

He is survived by: his wife Nell Lynd; his daughters, Pamela Pyles (John), Rhonda Smith (Harvey), Brenda Cedars (Carl) and Sandra Hillman (Dale); and his brother Marvin Lynd. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.
