Robert Thurman Bobbitt Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Thurman Bobbitt of Alexandria, Louisiana, who passed away on February 16, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Christian Bobbitt and Rosa Lee Bobbitt; the mother of his children Wavha; and his stepsons, Jimmy Chandler and Darrell Chandler.
He is survived by: his daughters, Rhonda Sue Bobbitt Vercher of Galveston, Angela Kay Bobbitt Bennett of Lake Charles and Camille Christine Bobbitt Girouard (Kent) of Cedar Park, Texas; and his stepdaughter Kathy Kupperschmid (Robert) of Alexandria. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Rush Funeral Home - Pineville (3307 Monroe Hwy, Pineville, LA 71360). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Bobbitt Cemetery.
