He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Cicero Day and Mable Beatrice Roberts Day; and his cousin Harry "Cuz" Roberts. He is survived by: his wife Nelia Shaw Day; his children, Michael Patrick Day (Bobbi Jo "BJ"), Elizabeth Robin Nikiel (Kevin) and Aimee Frances Baxter (Michael); his grandchildren, Ethan Andrew Nikiel, Caisey Baxter Gray (Peyton), Cameron Robert Nikiel, Brendan Patrick Day, Rowan Connor Day and Sara Elizabeth Baxter; and his pet Charlie.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, all donations be made to the following charities in Mr. Day's memory: St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Shriner's Hospital for Children, and the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home and Family Ministries.
