She was predeceased by: her husband Donald N. "Don" Spurlin; her children, Steve Phillips and Linda Phillips Mellon; her parents, Winnfield Scott and Audie May Funk Madden; and her brother Douglas Wayne Madden.

She is survived by: her sons, Stuart Spurlin and Scott Spurlin; her daughter-in-law Debbie Spurlin; and her grandchildren, Justin Wyatt, Audra Templeton, Joshua Phillips, Cole Phillips, Brian Spurlin and Keaton Spurlin.
