She was predeceased by: her parents, John Vernon Reed and Eris Hattie O'Neal Reed; her grandparents, Maurice, Dorothy Sanson O'Neal, John Wesley and Essie McDowell; her siblings-in-law, Scott Nida, Donna Reed, Calvin Dell McCann, Billie McCann and Emra McCann Jr.; and her parents-in-law, Emra McCann Sr. and Thelma Newcomb.
She is survived by: her husband Leo McCann; her children, Chad McCann (Jennifer) and Tara McCann (Eric); her grandchildren, Hailey McCann Ash (Caleb) and Dawson McCann; her great grandchild Cohen Ash; her siblings, Marvin Reed (Pat) and Janice Nida; her sister-in-law Julia Ann V. McCann; and her godchildren, Gracee Texada and Shanna Williams Couvillion. She is also survived by her family, friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Tunnel to Towers Foundation, reflecting Norma's lifelong commitment to caring for others.
