She was predeceased by: her parents, Leslie Benard and Claudia Rougeou; and her sister Katherine Zettner. She is survived by: her husband John Haarala; her children, Karen Robinson (Russell Taylor) and John Haarala III (Lou Downs Haarala); her siblings, Barbara Hammack, Kate Taylor, Leslie "Becky" Spencer, Johnnie Jenkins, Arlen "Pete" Benard and Debra Duke; and her grandchildren, Garrett Robinson (Brooke), Sydney Robinson, Lawson Haarala, Baker Haarala and Walter Haarala.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 19th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Hixson Brothers Funeral Home (701 Jackson St, Alexandria, LA 71301). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 19th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
