He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Noel, Emmer Gene Fortenberry, Kenneth and Lenore "Pud" Grubbs Harvey; and his sister Lindsay Fortenberry Burke.
He is survived by: his brother-in-law Dr. Guy Burke; his nieces, Addison Leigh and Bessie Lenore Burke; and his nephew Evan Scott Burke of Indianola. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, and cousins.
