He was predeceased by: his daughter Heather Louise Mason; his father Thomas Mason; his brother Roy Lamar Mason; and his great grandchild Levi Langston. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Mason; his mother Helen Walker Mason; his children, Chad Everett Mason (Amye) and Hope Coutee (Wayne); his siblings, Charles Raymond Mason and Karen Denise Hornor; his grandchildren, Chelsea Langston (Kris), Will Mason (Makena), Michael Mason, Emma Mason, Alexander Mason and Sara Mason; and his great grandchild Hudson Langston. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
