He is survived by: his wife Enola Calhoun Young; his sons, David Young (Kathy) of Mandeville, LA, Michael Young (Susan) of Tullahoma, TN and Glenn Young (Danielle) of Kilgore, TX.; his grandchildren, Jason Young, Ryan Young (Celeste), Jared Young, Hillary Gahagan (Andrew), Austen Young, Ethan Young, Savannah Young, Micah Young (Riley) and Josh Young; his great grandchildren, Aiden, Jose, Collin and Astrid; his brothers, Joe Young (Delores) of Monterey, LA and Hubert Young (Ann) of Lafayette, LA; his sister-in-law Bernadette Young of Monterey, LA.; and also Hubert (Chevron).

“I met Dick when he was working in Leeville with Chevron and I was working as a Drilling Engineer offshore. We worked together on several occasions throughout our careers with Chevron. I always thought of Dick as a model of a person who was always thoughtful of others. It was my pleasure to have known and worked alongside such an outstanding man and coworker. “I met "Dutch" Young , Dick's father in September 1962 when I was transferred to Lake St. John. I got to know all four of the Young boys during my 20 years with the California Company. I have never met a nicer group of men in my 86 years of life. Monterey has lost another super nice person. I offer my deepest sympathy to all of his loved ones and friends. Jack Cox”
