It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Percy Marien of Alexandria, Louisiana, who passed away on October 23, 2023, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Marien and Ammon Elaine Hobbs Marien; his sister Beth Marien; his nephew Joseph Marien; his niece Jennifer Marien; and his great-nephews, Alex Ekermeyer and Avery Louis Vaughn.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Goodwin Marien; his children, Kristy Marien Bell (Jason), Katie Marien and Jamie Marien (Elizabeth); his stepchildren, William, Colton Nalezinek and MacKenzie Burke (Logan); his grandchildren, Maggie Bell, Mason Bell, Avery Burke, Parker Burke, Sellers Forrest, Pate Forrest and Tuff Nalezinek; and his brothers, Joe Marien (Sandy), Johnny Marien (Marilyn), Jack Marien (Kathy) and Jeff Marien. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jimmy's memory may be made to the Heart of Louisiana Humane Society, the Belgian-American Club or St. Rita Knights of Columbus.
