It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Melichar Koncinsky of Alexandria, Louisiana, who passed away on January 1, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband George J. Koncinsky; her mother Helen M. Voda; her stepfather Louie Voda; her daughter Janet Watson Koncinsky; her brother Victor Melichar (Mildred); her son-in-law Mark Watson; and her son Alan Bruce Koncinsky.

She is survived by: her son Randall James Koncinsky; her daughter-in-law Jackie Koncinsky; her grandchildren, Erin, Jay Lajoie, Jennifer Watson, Joel, Katherine Koncinsky and Dustin Koncinsky; and her great grandchildren, Chloe Lajoie, Amelia Lajoie, Lauren Bielecki, Katie Bielecki, Aiden Koncinsky and Tatum Koncinsky.

Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church - Alexandria (2727 Jackson St, Alexandria, LA 71301). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 1:15 PM to 1:30 PM at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park - Ball (Pineville, LA 71405).
