She was predeceased by: her parents, Etta Havens Asbury and Ernest Sheldon Asbury; her husband James "Cooper" Tingle; and her siblings, Joyce Carlock, Bernice Asbury, Tula Comeaux, Elton, Edgar Dan, Don, Koin and Walter Asbury.

She is survived by: her daughter Tula Ann Newman; and her grandchildren, Crystal "Chrissy" Goss, Christopher Newman, Lafayette Slaydon, Lee Jones and Audrey Leighton. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
