It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Ray Byrd (Alexandria, Louisiana), who passed away on January 9, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Tricia; his parents, Raymond Byrd and Elaine Richerson Byrd; his mother-in-law Patricia Beebe; and his brothers-in-law, Lloyd Reynaud and Daryl Kempainen.
He is survived by: his children, Kimberly Guillory, Brant Byrd (Mandy) and Mark Byrd (Damion); his grandchildren, Kayla (Dustin), Mallory (Jared), Marley (Caleb), Macey and Ashton (Derek); his great grandchildren, Blake, Kylee, Drake, Brewer, Riggs, Jetson and Emmy Kate; his siblings, Sissy Reynaud, Patsy McKnight (Pete), Debbie Kempainen and Dale Byrd; his grandson Donald Ray; his close friend Jane Linzay; and his grandsons, Dustin Savoie, Corey Guillory, Jared Byrd, Blake Byrd, Aidan Byrd and Blake Savoie. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Hixson Brothers (701 Jackson St, Alexandria, LA 71301).
