He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Olivia Davis, Simon Babineaux, Joyce Charles and Chester Charles Sr.; and his stepfather Ray Taylor.
He is survived by: his parents, Audrey Babineaux and Joseph Charles Sr. (Liz Charles); his siblings, Joseph Charles Jr., Wanda Thibodeaux, Boshiba Babineaux, Don Provost and Porshe McZeal; his grandmother Laura Broussard (Howard Broussard); his close friends, Ladarren Francis and Willis T; his aunt Mary Davis; and his uncles, Chester Charles Jr. and Russell Charles. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces, aunts, uncles, family members, and friends.
