He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Maklary and Lucille Maklary; and his sisters, Judy Maklary Brown and Patty Maklary Smiley. He is survived by: his wife Janet Nobles Maklary; his daughters, Chasidy Maklary Ried (Brad), Crystal Pena (Daniel), Jenny Nicoll (Mike) and Suzie Minor (Joe); his grandchildren, Braden, Kaitlyn, Ally-Marie, Nathan and Maddie; and his siblings, Donna Maklary Roberts (David), Alexander John Maklary II (Raquel) and Gary Maklary (Ella Mae). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Albany Hungarian Presbyterian Church Cemetery (30767 Hungarian Presbyterian Church Rd, Hammond, LA 70403). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
