He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin, Sr. and Nancy Albirdie Kinchen Palmer; his children, David Palmer and Nancy Klugh; and his siblings, Benjamin Palmer, II and Mary Lee Hutchinson.
He is survived by: his sons, Huey H. Palmer, Jr and Benjamin "Jay" Palmer (Catherine); his granddaughter Jackie Dammon (Chris); his great grandchildren, Andrea and Clayton Lacomb; and his sister Anna Ree Rushing. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and close friends.
