He was predeceased by: his parents, Pearl Tate and Frank Tate Sr.; and his sister Fannie Whiddon. He is survived by: his wife Geraldine Tate; his sons, Frank Joseph "Joey" Tate III (Debbie) and Jeffrey Luther Tate (Tammy); his siblings, Janell Beregi (Russell), Kelly Tate (Evelyn), Darrel Tate (Mary) and Ray Tate (Jae); his grandchildren, Brad Tate, Joanna Tate, Greg Tate (Heather), Kayla Anthony (Nick) and Noah Tate; and his great grandchildren, Shayne Tate, Eli Tate, Mac and Wells.
