He was predeceased by: his parents, Abbott V. Stewart and Mary Hano Stewart; his daughter Lisa Stewart; his great grandchild Isabella Rose Durbin; his siblings, Nellie Bankston, Nelcie Westberry, Brady Stewart, Albert Stewart and Edwin Stewart; and his parents-in-law, Loren and Hilda Addison Landry.
He is survived by: his wife Nora Landry Stewart; his daughter Terri Stewart Durbin (Gary); his grandchildren, Heather Durbin, Gary C. Durbin Jr., Lauren M. Hocevar (Beau), Cheslynn Dinwiddie and Sarah Dinwiddie; his great grandchildren, Leigha Petho and Ethan Durbin; and his brothers, Abbott Stewart and Chris Stewart. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home (2000 N Morrison Blvd, Hammond, LA 70401). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
