He was predeceased by: his parents, Penny Martin and Carl Martin Sr.; and his grandparents, Henry, Mary Martin, Phillip and Annie Robillard.
He is survived by: his wife Christine Bates Martin; his children, Annie Martin Connors (Chris) and Christopher Carl Martin; his siblings, Rhonda Martin Rau (Mike) and Larry Martin (Bobbie); his grandson James Elliott Connors; and his caregivers, Renae, Rhi, Lisa and Latarsia. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
