He was predeceased by: his wife Mercedes Badeaux Garlington; his parents, Ivy Monroe Garlington and Essie Reeder Garlington; and his siblings, Gaye Nell Hattaway and Ronald W. Garlington.
He is survived by: his children, Layne (Ronnie Mire), Aimee (David Rabalais), Neil (Suzy Garlington), Holly (Kevin LeBlanc) and Christel (Tait Dupont); his grandchildren, Patrick (Alex Rabalais), Kaylee (Cody Garlington), Luke (Lauren LeBlanc), Blair Dupont (Hays Kahao), Caleb and Logan (Jackson Dupont); and his brother Ivy Joe Garlington (Barbara). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
