It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Norman Eugene Mastalez of Acadiana, Louisiana, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on April 27, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Joseph Mastalez and Mary Swies Mastalez; and his brother Michael Mastalez. He is survived by: his wife Dolores "Dee" Dugas Mastalez; his children, Shannon Mastalez (Olivia), Pamela Mastalez, Louis Mastalez, Norman Mastalez, Jr. and Daniel Mastalez; his sister Leona Mastalez Vutera (Joseph); and his brothers-in-law, Normand Dugas of Huntsville, TX and Eugene Dugas (Barbara) of Lafayette, LA. He is also survived by his numerous grandchildren; his numerous great-grandchildren.
