He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Lagneaux Emery; his son Thomas Emery; his parents, Nelson Emery and Eliska Mary Lancaster Emery; and his siblings, Mary Margaret Emery Quispe and William'Bill'Emery.
He is survived by: his daughter Shanna Emery Turner (Korey) of Lafayette; his grandson Dain Turner of Lafayette; his brother Nelson Emery (Valrie) of Sugarland, TX; and his caregiver Charlie of Our Lady. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Leslie's name to Acadiana Animal Aid, 142.
