She was predeceased by: her husband James McDonald Thomas; her parents, Mayo Broussard and Della LaLande Broussard; her siblings, Thomas James Broussard and Emma Jane Francois; her nephews, Thomas James Broussard, Jr. and Mark Francois; her great-nephew Dylan Clay Young; and her brother-in-law John Gaidry.
She is survived by: her children, Tanya Scheible Nowlin of Lafayette, LA, Anne-Marie Kerce (David) of Ormand Beach, FL, James M. Thomas, II (Annette) of Lafayette, LA and Bruce D. Thomas, Sr. (Marsha) of Kingwood, TX; her sister Pearl Gaidry of Lafayette, LA; her grandchildren, Seth Nowlin, Monica Reid (Brian), Amy Godfrey (Matt), Bruce "DeWitt" Thomas, Zachary Kerce (Naomi), Spencer Kerce (Jordyn) and Grant Kerce; her stepgrandchildren, Cy and Seth Rodriguez; and her great grandchildren, Hope Kerce and Rowan Godfrey. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
